On the 15 day, Zhang Yuxiang, Vice Minister of agriculture, Jia Wanzhi, deputy secretary of the Ministry of agriculture and chief economist of the Ministry of agriculture, Feng Jikang, Secretary of the provincial Party committee of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, attended the opening ceremony. Zhang Yuxiang and Feng Jikang spoke and Jia Wanzhi announced the opening of the Expo.

In his speech, Zhang Yuxiang pointed out that, as the largest special fur animal breeding base in the country, the national fur fur garment trade fair was held here, which was conducive to making full use of the advantages of the main production area, enhancing the international competitiveness of the fur industry and improving the impact force of the brand. It is beneficial to build a new platform of multi-level exchange, full display, wide field cooperation for domestic and foreign businessmen and promote the coordinated development of the whole chain of fur industry, and promote the exchanges and cooperation between the parties and the promotion of fur.

Feng Jikang said that the Expo will be held in Wendeng, which will further strengthen the status of Wendeng special fur animal breeding industry in the regional economic development and enhance the internationalization level of Wendeng fur industry.

It is understood that the special fur animal breeding industry is a traditional dominant industry in Wendeng. As of now, there are more than 300 breeding enterprises in the city with annual turnover of more than 10000, more than 8600 breeding businesses, more than 50 processing enterprises, more than 40 thousand employees, and about 12000000 total annual output, about 8000000 annual output of fur, accounting for 30% of the total domestic income, and increasing farmers' income by 1 billion yuan.

It was awarded the honorary title of "China fur industry development demonstration city" and "Shandong fur and fur leather capital" by the association of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Shandong light industry collective enterprise association.

The theme of the Expo is "establishing brand, cultivating market, building platform and cooperative development", attracting more than 300 domestic and foreign fur clothing, leather products, fur handicraft and other production enterprises to participate in the exhibition. During the exhibition, fur clothing show, special fur animal breeding technology and fur market development forum, fur clothing new product promotion and fur industry project signing ceremony were also held.
